Does it cost to join?

    Yes, $350 your initial semester that can be paid anytime within that initial semester.

What will Alpha Gamma Rho do for me?

    Joining Alpha Gamma Rho will provide with a group of brothers with the same interests, backgrounds, and career goals. At the same time you will be able to network with AGR alumni and create connections for future employment opportunities. You will also have the chance to take a leadership role within the fraternity.

Where is the house located?

    It is on Woodland Avenue right across from the international village. Our back porch is right next to the Library. Also right adjacent to the "90".

When can I join the fraternity?

    Each new member can join at the beginning of each semester. The second week in each semester, we hold what is called a "Rush Week". This week is a series of events that brothers of the house can use to get to know potential new members. You may then join the following Tuesday.

Do I have to be an Agricultural Major to be an AGR?

    No, we welcome all majors. Although most of our members are Agricultural Majors, we have members that are in med school, law school, vet school, engineering school, and pharmacy school.

How long is your pledgeing period?

    Only three days. Here at Alpha Gamma Rho the pledge process lasts 3 days. Also may we remind you that while you are considered a pledge for those 3 days there is an absolute no hazing policy.

Am I required to live in house?

    Yes, for at least 2 semesters out of your stay at college we require you to live in house. This is a benefit more than a chore because you will beomce better friends with the brothers in your fraternity.

What are the requirements to be a member?

    That you have to have at least a cumlative 2.3 GPA. Have to be a student at the University of Kentucky.
